My parents came to visit yesterday evening for dinner. We had a blast! Emily luvs Grampy and Grammy She-She. And of course, they think the sun rises and sets on her tiny hiney, so it was fun for everyone. I did take a bunch of pictures, but I didn’t get a chance to upload them last night. Mostly because I had to finish Eclipse my new book addiction. The books are good, but they are no Harry Potter. *sigh* I haven’t found anything yet that is even close to how HP rocked my fiction loving world. But, all things aside, the Twilight series is pretty good, even if I do have nightmares about vampires and werewolves after I read them. (Harry didn’t give me nightmares…another plus for Potter) And besides that, I can’t seem to get behind the main character. I keep hoping she will change her mind and then she doesn’t. Anyways, only one more book left to read in the series and that comes out in Aug, so it will be interesting to see if she finally does change her mind at the end!
In other news, T got fitted for some new hearing aids yesterday. He gets to pick them up on Monday. We are both excited about this. Hopefully they will work really well and he will be able to hear a-ok with them. I know it will be an adjustment for him, and for me, but it should make his life easier. He has had some hearing issues for awhile, but I’m glad he is doing something about it now. He got the very cool kind of aids that go right into your ear and are pretty small. Did you know they match the little bit that goes over your ear to your hair color? I never knew that! If he’ll let me, I’ll take some pics of him wearing them when they come in. (he may not let me though)
Emily is still having trouble leaving me in the morning. I feel pretty shocked about it still. She was doing really great in day care for the last few months, but it’s like boom, all of a sudden, she can’t stand to be separated from me. She cries and wails and reaches for me when I drop her off in the morning. I don’t get it. She has the same teachers, we go to the same place….any insight from any BTDT moms? It’s breaking my heart every morning. My instinct is to snatch her up and run home with her! But I have to work. (boo) What to do? I leave my bag there in the room, so she can see it all day. I don’t know if that makes a difference. I could leave a picture maybe. She already has a blankie from home. Thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.
