Mother's Day

The card that Emily made us for Mother’s Day.  If you look close you can see that it’s the 3 of us, but we all are sporting mustaches. HA HA HA HA HA…this card has made my weekend spectacular.   Tony does have a rockin’ stache, but that she thought of giving all of us one, all by herself??  HA HA HA HA… God I love that kid!

I hope that everyone had a great Mother’s Day. I was hoping to give birth yesterday, but it didn’t work out that way. Still here, still pregnant.  Oh well.  She’ll come out EVENTUALLY.  I have to keep telling myself that, so I don’t lose my damn mind.

Still Pregnant

I’m still here and still pregnant.  39 weeks along. I’m totally ready to have this kiddo come out and play with us, but it could be another week (or two even) so I’m trying not to pout too much about it.  I’m really REALLY tired, and I have carpel tunnel…only it’s not just my wrist/hand it’s my entire arm. My fingers are the worst, but basically my whole arm feels all pins and needly. It sucks. I understand why people have surgery for this now. It’s painful and not at all fun. The doc assures me that I don’t have nerve damage and it will all go away, 3-4 weeks after the baby comes.  That sucks even more. I personally think every nasty pregnancy complication should be immediately eradicated once you give birth. But that’s just me. LOL  Other than these minor complaints, I have nothing to whine about. The pregnancy has gone much better than I expected. I’ve only gained 20lbs and I think that part is the best part!  J

Emily is doing fine. Part of her is really excited to become a big sister, and part of her is a little jealous.  She’s not cool about the baby getting clothes that she used to wear.  I have piles and piles (and PILES) of clothes she’s outgrown that I’m saving, and she doesn’t like that one bit. Even though she is too big for them now and she has tons of new, just for her, clothes.  I feel bad for her about this, but on the other hand, she needs to learn to live with it.  At some point the new kid is going to bitch that she only has hand me downs. I’m pretty sure this will be a never ending battle that I won’t win!

On the sweet side, she kisses my belly goodbye every day when I drop her at school.  It’s super cute to see her do this.

A few pictures for you.  One of Emily from earlier this week with a new hairstyle she picked out herself. She said it made her “Chinese”  OK. I’m still not sure where she got that from, but it made her happy so that’s fine.

One of me from last week, at 38 weeks.  I look pretty much the same this week!

One of Emily on Easter Sunday outside in front of our rose bush.  She struck that model pose all on her own…crazy kid!
