Between April 22 - May 5, Harris Teeter stores in North Carolina will sell $1 and $5 donation coupons at checkout lines to support the statewide services of the Autism Society of North Carolina.

Emily Funnies

Emily has been cracking us up lately. Here are a few of the things she’s done that we have found most hilarious.

 

The other day she was sitting on my lap playing with my hair. Suddenly she got a very concerned look on her face and she put her hands up to my face and said “Mommy hot. Mommy sick”  She then proceeded to blow air all over my face to cool me off!!!

 

 

We had some successful potty action the other night. I was giving her lots of praise and saying what a big girl she was, so she leaped off the toilet and started jumping up and down and yelling “ Em-e-nee YAY! Em-e-nee YAY!”  The best part was that she was naked because this happened right before bath time! 

 

Her favorite tv show is Go Diego Go.  Last night when it came on she shouted DIGO GO! And then when I started laughing, she SHUSHED me! Ha ha ha…it was great. And of course, I just laughed some more.

 

I was putting on her pjs and talking to Tony at the same time, so therefore not paying too much attention to the putting on the pjs process.  Her head got stuck in the neck hole of her shirt, and while I was talking to Tony, Em goes ah HELLLOOOO!  From under the shirt. It took awhile to rescue her because we were laughing so hard.

 

 

So that’s my funny girl. She makes us laugh so much. It’s pure happiness to be her Momma.

 

 

3am Conversations with Emily

Emily didn’t feel much like last sleeping last night. Unfortunately, I did, but she was having none of that.  Around 230 she started crying her head off so I popped into her room to check on her. As soon as she saw me, she stood up in the crib and said Hello Mommy!! All tears stopped. Little stinker!

 

I brought her into the guest room with me to lie down and try to get her to fall back asleep.  We laid there for awhile in the dark.  And then she whispers: uh oh. Daddy?   I said Daddy’s sleeping. Mommy would like to sleep too. Daddy night  night, mommy night, night; Emily night, night.   She then shouts CHOO CHOO NIGHT NIGHT!!!    It was so funny. I don’t know how her little mind works, but it was very funny.  And of course, once I started giggling she started making silly faces and playing peek a boo with me.  Needless to say we were up to about 430. 

 

Mommy wants to go night night now too.  Em’s lucky she’s so dang adorable!
