My Sweet Girl

 

My sweet sweet girl climbed into bed with me this morning around 6:30.  We snuggle for a few minutes and then she put her little forhead up against mine and said “I like Mommy!”  of course I said “I like Emily!”  and the she annouced she needed a hug. When I wrapped my arms around her I said, look Tony, and Emily piped up “Take a picture!”  HA HA HA HA HA

 

Yep, she’s definitely my kid!  

 

That ist he best way to start a day, I tell you what. I’ve been smiling all morning.

Scary

It’s articles like this that scare the pants off of me.  It could happen to anyone, anywhere at any time.  I feel sooo badly for this family.

 

Girl, 4, dies after choking on screw

Authorities in South Carolina say a 4-year-old girl died after choking on a metal screw at her family's home.

The Aiken Standard reported Wednesday that the county coroner's office has determined that Macy Lane Steele died from asphyxiation. She was pronounced dead 10 p.m. Monday at a local hospital.

Authorities think the child was playing in her bedroom when she picked up the inch-and-a-half long screw and put it in her mouth. She walked into the den where her mother noticed her choking, tried to help the child and called 911.

The girl was unconscious and lying on the floor in the den when authorities arrived and dislodged the object from the child's throat. Officials think the screw came loose from a piece of furniture

 

 

Best Conversation Ever

 

Emily came and crawled in bed with me this past Sunday morning around 645. She doesn’t get sleeping in yet, but I’m not giving up hope.  Anyways, we were laying in bed and snuggling and she says to me: Mommy, you happy?  I said,   Yes baby, I’m happy.  And she goes I’m happy too!!
